By the Way...

If you are interested in seeing what the kids were up to while we were away, I've posted a few pictures on their blog: www.grizzlycubs.blogspot.com I know, it's been forever since I posted anything new on that one - I'll try to be a little better about it!

more to come...

After our time in Barcelona, we took a train to Tarragona, on the coast. It was a beautiful day, and we had lots of things to see! We rented a tiny little car, and began exploring. Please enjoy our slideshow of what we did! At the end of the day, we took the bullet train to Zaragosa, where Los Browns are serving their mission.

Barcelona

Here's the first set of pictures from the big trip! We spent a few days exploring Barcelona, what a beautiful city! I really loved the architecture by Gaudí, he was so creative. Of course we have a million pictures, but I thought these were a good sample. I have to apologize for the sideways pictures, though, for some reason I couldn't rotate them.

Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve we first went to a friend's house where we took part in the acting out of the Nativity story. Kody was a shepherd and Mollie was the angel - they played their parts perfectly! Then we joined our neighbors from Mexico in their Christmas Eve tradition called Posada, it included singing a song outside the door while the "innkeeper" decided whether he would let us in or not.
After the song came the breaking of the pinata - boy was it cold outside!
Forget about the candy, Mollie just couldn't resist partaking in the gross crusty snow on the ground!

Let's Start at the Beginning...

Okay, we have so many pictures and things to tell you from the past few weeks, I think I'll just do a little at a time instead of a total overload. First, here are some pictures from our pre-Christmas adventure to Frankenmuth, MI and the world's largest Christmas store. The owners of the store created a replica of the original Silent Night Chapel in Austria, and they had the words to the song in every language - it was pretty cool!
Santa's workshop was very busy getting ready for Christmas...but the big guy made time to visit with the kids. Kody was a little apprehensive...
but Mollie wouldn't even go near him - he was so nice I didn't want to shove her on his lap just for the funny screaming picture!
She accepted Santa's gift though, it's a little snowman ornament (Kody got one too)Here's Santa showing how he gets down the chimney!
Frosty, you look so young!
This is what no more naps looks like - he'd been out running errands with daddy!
